Mona's Web

Covington attorney and writer, Maurice Le Gardeur a/k/a The Bard of Boston Street, and Abita Springs artist, 96 year-old Roy Robinson, have once again received rave reviews for their cartoon character Mona Lisa Beagle, Eagle Paralegal. Mona has been featured weekly in the St. Tammany Farmer for over 4 years. Their first book published in 2015, Mona’s Law & Disorder, is a prior winner of 17 national book awards. Mona continued to impress in their 2017 sequel, Mona’s Cruisin’ the Coast. So far Mona’s Cruisin’ the Coast has received 11 national book awards for humor, comics and graphic novels, design (interior, cover, and overall), gift books, and small books as well as a 5-star review from Writer’s Digest’s 25th Annual Self-Published Book Awards. Sadly, illustrator Roy Robinson passed away early this year. We are fortunate to have another local artist who will illustrate Mona’s continuing adventures.
